Hi everyone,
This is probably going to be the one of the most exciting moments you'll ever experience in your online business; getting your first website visitor and email subscriber (the only thing that trumps that is your first online sale; which comes shortly after this!)...
This is a place to share with your fellow IMC members when you get your first visitor(s) to your website and your first email subscriber.
If you're following the free traffic methods from Module 5 then this should happen very quickly.
1. Log into your Google Analytics account to track and find out when your first visitors start to come to your website. 2. Log into your Aweber account to see how many people are subscribed to your list.
I'm looking forward to hearing what it was like when you checked these stats and got your first website visitor and email subscriber.
Brian

Hey, Brian --
Nice new topic! And I DID see PJ for the first time on ETR...and it was great! Congratulations, PJ. Very cool! Julie's quickly becoming the poster child for IMC success on ETR, which is fantastic, too. Way to go, Julie!
And both of these (and more), Brian, are wonderful reflections on your ability to inspire and lead people to Internet marketing success. Yay! I'm a peripheral part of a very cool group!
I've had some visitors, some subscribers, and some visitors who don't subscribe. Several of the subscribers are in our class, and I'm gratified beyond belief at their support. Thank you!!
Some of this has led to a strategy question I've been tossing around in my mind. The comments are positive, but they reinforce that the site is a blog. Is this the best way to go?
I've been thinking of moving everything after the sign-up promo post to an articles category. I could direct people back the site (in an e-mail) when I post a new article and not have to respond to blog posts...which are very real and can be kind of wacky.
Should I be concerned that there are bloggers who don't subscribe? Or is this a good thing?
I'm not sure where to go next with structure. What do y'all think is best?
As always and forever -- thanks!
Marsha

Hi, all, I'm getting subscribers to my e-report. And like Marsha, some are from the class and I thank you for the support. The others are from posting on the different blogs, forums and answering questions on Yahoo. I'm not sure yet if they are buying into my affilaite link or not. And to be honest, I'm not sure how to check on that. If anyone knows the answer to that, I'd be grateftul for that information. To our success! I can't wait to hear from everyone else. Greetings! Subscribers are coming in and subscribing! I have actually been up and running now almost a year, and each day I am getting from 2 -6 new subscribers. My website is: http://www.AllAboutGratitude.comThe homepage is really just a squeeze page right now where people can opt-in to receive a Gratitude Quote of the Day along with a short commentary. People have been writing back to me letting me know that they really enjoy it. When someone joins, I also let them put in the names and addresses of 3 people and they will get a free bonus report only available by recommending their friends. If they do, an email goes out to their friends and lets them know about the site. I also have a blog that is available off the homepage. Be Well. Paul.

Hi Brian: I was glad to read your newsletter this morning. I am sure you are used to the fact that many of your clients may have a bit of "instant gratification" need in their makeup. As a result, I have failed to celebrate that I have had a rather steady (but small) sign up rate on both of my web sites due to my newsletters and the sign up box. My relationshiprennovations.com website has added about 15 new names (I suspect because I give them a free article on dealing with Control Freaks if they sign). They don't all open the newsletter each week which is why I say that. I also have received multiple sign ups from my Leadership/coaching website (harlanevans.com). For other IMC members, most of these sign ups have occurred because I published my newsletters with BestEzines.com. This is affiliated with ezinearticles. Since I began publishing articles with ezine last year, I have had 2300 hits with a fairly serious click through rate. 8 of the articles have been published in other places and there have been over 645 views of my profile (that's all free marketing with people who would never cross my path) It was through their suggestions that I started my Leadership newsletter and signed on with Best Ezines (covering issues like dealing with bullies in the workplace, etc.) In just a few months, over 1600 people have viewed the leadership newsletter, and in about one month, almost 300 people have looked at the relationship newsletter and many of my sign ups were click throughs from BestEzines. In terms of Instant Gratification, I am still trying to figure out how to change followers into SALEs of my books etc.

I got my first subscriber on 2/24/2010. This subscriber was from a friend, but it is still exciting!
